Who we are
Dialogues is a ministry and online platform dedicated to examining current world events through a biblical lens. It is the collaborative work of Mark Sutherland and Nathan Barnard, who each lead their own ministries yet come together for this shared mission.
Mark contributes a distinctive and in‑depth understanding of geopolitics, paired with a creative eye and a deep passion for Israel. His strengths complement Nathan’s biblical insight and his extensive understanding of Bible prophecy. Together, they aim to sound the alarm regarding the lateness of the hour, the condition of the church, and the trajectory of global events as we witness the emergence of the beast system.
Supporting their work is Phil, whose creative skills enhance the visual and media elements of Dialogues. He has produced the show’s introduction as well as the trailer for the upcoming trip to Israel.

Mark Sutherland
Mark began his career as a trained cabinetmaker and carpenter before qualifying as a teacher. He worked across diverse educational settings, including supporting children from disadvantaged backgrounds with challenging behaviour. Combining his trade skills, teaching experience, and passion for filmmaking, he secured funding for multiple arts projects that provided students with hands‑on experience in film production and stage construction, earning community awards for two initiatives.
Alongside teaching, Mark worked on his first feature film, White Angel (1992), serving as production designer. The film was released in 36 UK cinemas in 1993. After leaving full‑time teaching, he transitioned fully into TV and film production, taking on roles in production crews, art direction, project management, and co‑producing a feature film, eventually producing his own short films.
Mark has contributed to projects for the BBC, Channel 4, ITV, and numerous independent production companies, collaborating with well‑known public figures. He also art‑directed Comic Relief in 2011. His work includes co‑producing Abe (2013), a viral short film about a robot seeking to understand human love, and producing two award‑winning shorts—Between Lambs and Lions (2015) and The Iris Echo (2017).
In 2014, Mark crewed on Nancy Spielberg’s Above and Beyond, documenting the formation of the Israeli Air Force in 1948. In 2016, he produced and directed Flexcit: The Movie, presenting a pathway for the UK to leave the European Union and prosper independently.
A keen student of history with a biblical worldview, Mark is committed to engaging audiences in discussions about current events and their place within a prophetic timeline. Since 2017, he has been a regular guest on various independent US media outlets and serves as a guest host on Dan Happel’s podcast Connecting the Dots.
Mark sits on the board of AmericanGulagChronicles.com, supporting fundraising efforts for January 6th prisoners and raising awareness of the events of January 6, 2021. He continues to work alongside David Sumrall of StopHate.com in advocating for justice on their behalf.
Since 2023, Mark has produced his own podcast, The Sutherland Report, on YouTube and Rumble, featuring guests who explore how historical and contemporary events shape today’s worldview and biblical understanding. He has contributed to multiple publications and plans to publish his own work.
Following the events of October 7th, 2023, Mark has been an active advocate for Israel and is a regular contributor to India’s News X, offering commentary on global geopolitical developments.
